Mr. Provenzano was an original team member of Athene Holding Ltd.’s launch in 2009 serving in various functions across asset management, acquisitions, reinsurance, and retail strategies. Most recently, Mr. Provenzano was Deputy Chief Investment Officer of Apollo Insurance Solutions Group International, where he spent five years building out Apollo’s insurance presence in Europe for Athora and others. One of three members to launch the division, he helped oversee AUM
growth from €10 billion to €80 billion with 30 full time investment professionals.

Prior to his time with Athene and Apollo, Mr. Provenzano worked with Mr. Gillis and Mr. Shanafelt at Bear Stearns in the Insurance Solutions Group, and later on the Bear Stearns Derivatives Desk supporting hedging and risk management strategies for financial institutions.

Mr. Provenzano is active in the business and civic communities as a board member for two startups and a local charity in NJ. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the
University of Pennsylvania.
