Mr. Basden most recently held the position of Vice President at Renaissance Re (RenRe) in Bermuda. Key responsibilities included Catastrophe Modeling Architecture and Support, and server infrastructure and data center management.

Prior to RenRe, he served 13 years with Tokio Marine Group in Bermuda as Vice President of Information Technology. His accomplishments include a complete rebuild of the Information
Technology infrastructure and building out the global Catastrophe Modeling strategy, including design, implementation and support. He also managed the technology implementation for the new branch in Sydney, Australia. He designed, implemented, and maintained IT security policies and procedures to the satisfaction of regulatory and compliance requirements.

Prior to Tokio Marine, Mr. Basden served 7 years with the Chubb  Group in Bermuda as a Senior Technical Analyst supporting information architecture framework. He also had key involvement in Catastrophe Modeling support and infrastructure management and helpdesk. He supported the data backup strategy and Disaster Recovery environments.
